Dirty
Nick Maltese designs the interiors of a venue focused on straightforwardness, presenting itself as an alternative to conventional nightlife. Partners Mario Farulla, Gigi Tuzzi, and Carola Abate collaboratively developed the concept, aiming to strip away unnecessary elements that detract from the essence of enjoyment. Their approach aligns with countercultural movements, offering a concise drink menu featuring house-made concoctions and classic cocktails, paired with a late-night food menu featuring provocative dishes. Nick Maltese Studio crafts visually striking interiors inspired by Brutalism, incorporating graphic elements reminiscent of Basquiat's artwork. The bar counter, adorned with stylized penises, adds a playful touch. Service at Dirty prioritizes guest engagement over traditional measures, with a focus on spontaneity. Operating from 7:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m., Dirty caters to post-clubbers and night workers, dividing its space into two sections for varying levels of privacy. Despite its exclusivity, Dirty operates on a first-come, first-served basis. A diverse soundtrack complements the atmosphere, ranging from 90s/2000s hip-hop to experimental sounds.
